Getting to know BYD South West’s Transaction Manager

Today, we introduce you to one of the key players behind the scenes at BYD South West: Chris Tripp, the Transaction Manager at our Exeter-based dealership.  

As a Transaction Manager, Chris’ role involves overseeing critical aspects of BYD South West’s day-to-day operations. He’s responsible for managing and coordinating transactions with our clients, ensuring that all deals are executed smoothly and efficiently.

He has long-standing experience in the automotive industry, starting with 14 years of sales experience with MINI, where he learnt about the importance of customer service and the customer journey over the life cycle of a car purchase.

Chris isn’t new to the City West Country Group either, having spent 18 months as a Broker Account Manager for Mercedes-Benz South West. More recently, he spent two years with Carparison, a leasing broker also based in Marsh Barton, as Customer Loyalty Specialist and then Transaction Manager.

An exciting chapter in Chris’ City West Country journey

Chris’ expertise in various areas of the automotive industry come into play every day and with such a sharp focus on details and a commitment to excellence, he ensures that every transaction adheres to the highest standards of quality.

His day-to-day operations revolve around building the foundations of BYD South West, by the way of processes, procedures, and product training. Communicating and developing strong relationships with our customers is one of his main strengths, which allows him to deliver a high level of service.

And mapping out what the customer journey with BYD South West looks like has been a big focus for Chris in these early stages to ensure you have the best possible experience when buying and owning a BYD New Energy Vehicle.

Discussing his new role, Chris said, “I’m so excited for this new project with BYD, helping to make premium EVs accessible to the mainstream consumer. Getting to work with one of the biggest EV manufacturers in the world is going to be a fantastic experience.”
