Friday 1st August marks two years since the launch of BYD South West, when BYD Exeter opened a showroom in the heart of Marsh Barton on 1st August 2023. We’re celebrating our birthday by reflecting on two years of progression and growth, from new showrooms to new models, events to sponsorships. Here’s a look back at the past two years.
BYD South West opens its flagship showroom in Exeter
On 1st August 2023, BYD Exeter opened its doors to the public from our showroom in Waterbridge Court, Marsh Barton. At that time, the BYD ATTO 3 was the only model in the UK line-up, so we were focussed on the all-electric mid-size SUV. In September 2023, the BYD DOLPHIN was released in the UK, adding the all-electric hatchback to our line-up. Two months later in November 2023, the sleek and stylish saloon – the BYD SEAL – was added to our roster, giving us a range of three very different models to market.

In January 2025, BYD Plymouth moved to a new location to accommodate their growth. Their new premises is on Billacombe Road, providing a central place to reach a wide audience. Following this growth and success, the staffing has expanded into a fantastic team of local BYD experts.

Events and Product Placement
