BYD Roadside Assistance Cover
We provide assistance for eligible events, which means the driver of the vehicle is unable to continuing driving as a result of a breakdown, accident, theft attempt, or fire.
The length of coverage depends on the customer’s vehicle. All vehicles get two years cover, which is extended if the vehicle is serviced at a BYD Retailer. This is known as Service Activated Roadside Assistance (SARA).
For EV customers, the cover period is 24 months from the purchase of the vehicle, which is the same as the service interval. If the customer has their first service carried out at a BYD Retailer, their cover will be extended by a further 24 months, offering a total of 48 months of cover.
For DM-i customers, the cover period is 24 months from the purchase of the vehicle, extendable by a further 24 months if the first and second services are carried out at a BYD Retailer. As hybrid models have a 12-month service interval, the cover will extend by 12 months following the first service. If they have their second service at a BYD Retailer, it will extend to a further 12 months, offering a total of 48 months of cover.
