Today we’re catching up with Ryan Jenner, one of the longest-serving colleagues at BYD South West. Having joined the BYD Exeter team in November 2023 as a New Energy Vehicle Specialist, and is now a Transaction Manager at BYD South West’s new Exeter showroom.
We’re finding out all about Ryan, from his first car to his favourite part of the job.

How long have you been working at BYD South West?
Since November 2023.
What is your favourite BYD model?
BYD SEAL U DM-i.
Most memorable day at work?
Probably the SEAL launch, that was a good one!
Favourite part of the job?
Getting to meet lots of different people, no two days are ever the same.
What’s your favourite animal?
I am a cat fan, so probably cats.
Where is your favourite place to visit in the South West?
I’m a creature of habit, I really enjoy going to the Quay in Exeter. Otherwise, down to Cornwall for a long weekend is always nice.
How many attempts did it take you to pass your driving test?
First time with two minors!
What’s your go-to song or radio station to listen to in the car?
Capital Dance is my go-to.
What was your first car?
A bright yellow Citroen Saxo, it always used to rattle around a sharp corner!
What’s your favourite film?
One that goes under the radar: Place beyond the pines.
What’s at the top of your bucket list?
To go to Australia – I have always wanted to go.
What would be your karaoke song?
Five Colours in Her Hair by McFly.
Tipple of choice?
I’m not a huge drinker, but probably a gin and tonic.
First concert you ever went to?
Busted at Powderham Castle.
