Seeking some spooky fun for the whole family? As we enter the wet and windy weather of October, the shiny lights of Halloween are beckoning from the horizon. Luckily for the spooky season lovers, the October calendar is full of hair-raising events. Here’s a list of our favourite Halloween events in the South West.
Crealy Spook-Fest: 25th October - 3rd November
Crealy Adventure Park & Resort is pulling out all the stops for their annual Spook-Fest. Expect a host of fearsome activities, from haunted houses to eerie shows. The Trick or Treat Trail, live Scare Mazes, and free pumpkin for each child are just a few of the surprises in order.
Alongside over 60 rides and attractions, Crealy’s Spook-Fest features the Creaky Hotel, Halloween Sooty Show, and a new Bump in the Night: Magic Illusion Show! The Creaky Hotel is a must-visit for those brave enough to enter, and the scarecrow scare maze promises fun for all ages.

Halloween at Babbacombe Model Village
Babbacombe Model Village will be transformed into a Halloween wonderland. With miniature scenes depicting spooky tales and ghostly figures, it’s a unique way to celebrate the season. During the day, kids can enjoy the Miniature Pumpkin Hunt, winning a small Halloween treat if they successfully spot them all.
Don’t miss the Spookilluminations with sounds and fire effect, adding an extra layer of magic to the experience. The lights turn on around 16:30-17:00 and stay on until close at 19:30. It’s recommended that you come a bit earlier than this so you can enjoy a daylight visit and spot the pumpkins or play crazy golf too!

Halloween Hocus Pocus at The Milky Way
The Milky Way Adventure Park is hosting its annual Halloween Hocus Pocus event, featuring a range of activities from a spooky Merlin themed show, storytelling for smaller children, and bumper cars in a spooky swamp style setting.
There will be a special school for witches and wizards where can try spell casting and potion making. The park’s rides and attractions will also be open as usual, ensuring a day full of thrills and chills.

Family Halloween Silent Disco
Kick off the Halloween festivities with a family-friendly silent disco at Probus Village Hall. There will be refreshments and a licensed bar too, so any over 18s will require ID.

Halloween Half-Term at Pendennis Castle
Pendennis Castle, with its rich history and stunning views, is the perfect backdrop for a Halloween adventure. Explore the castle’s haunted history and enjoy a range of activities designed to entertain and spook visitors of all ages. Follow the quest to solve creepy clues, and join a local performer to hear chilling Cornish ghost tales. Enrol the little ones into the spookily silly Monster School!

Halloween Party at The Esplanade Hotel Newquay
The Esplanade Hotel in Newquay is hosting a Halloween Party that’s perfect for families. With a range of activities including ghost stories, games, dancing, and a feast, it’s sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike. Enjoy the hotel’s stunning sea views while you celebrate in your best Halloween attire.
