BYD models are equipped with a number of great features to make winter driving easier, such as heat pumps, heated seats, heated steering wheel, electric defrosting, and remote climate control.
BYD models are better equipped to handle colder weather conditions, such as snow and ice. We’re delving into some of BYD’s best features for winter driving to ensure you’re getting the most out of your car.
1. Heat pumps and better range
BYD’s heat pumps increase energy efficiency by managing heating and cooling more effectively. The innovative heat pump system uses waste heat from the battery, powertrain, and cabin to heat the car, which is more efficient than traditional heating systems and helps extend driving range in cold weather.
2. Heated seats and heated steering wheel
All BYD models come with heated seats as standard. The BYD SEAL, BYD SEAL U DM-i, BYD SEAION 7, and the upcoming BYD SEAL 6 DM-i models go even further with a heated steering wheel.
3. Electric defrosting and electric heated defroster rear windshield
There’s no longer the need to spend 10 minutes in the morning scraping ice off your windshield; BYD offers electric defrosting to help melt the ice.
4. Remote climate control
Through the BYD app, you can remotely preheat your car by adjusting the cabin temperature, or even turn your heated seats on before you get in. This is also a great time-saving feature, ensuring no delays to your commute accompanied by maximum comfort.
5. Button to unlock car
You may use your BYD app or NFC card to unlock your car most of the time, but there’s also a physical button, located on the driver’s wing mirror or on the actual handles, which is helpful if the hidden handles are frozen or aren’t appearing.
