Who is eligible for smart motability?
smart Motability is available to anyone who receives, or is a carer for someone who receives, one of the following government-funded mobility allowances and must have at least 12 months award length of allowance remaining:
- Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC DLA)
- Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP)
- War PensionersMobility Supplement (WPMS)
- Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
- Higher rate mobility component of Scotland’s Child Disability Payment (CDP)
- Enhanced rate mobility component of Scotland’s Adult Disability Payment (ADP)

Applying for smart Motability is easy. Simply visit your local smart dealership, where our dedicated Motability Specialists will guide you through the application process and help you find the perfect car for your needs.
If you’re leasing your first fully electric car on the Motability Scheme, we’ll arrange and cover the cost of a home chargepoint and a standard installation where possible.
Additional charges will apply if your property requires a non-standard installation.
If you are unable to install a charger at your property, you will be subsidised with charging credits as an alternative.
Comprehensive insurance for up to three named drivers comes included as standard with your Motability car. Insurance, servicing and maintenance costs are also included.
Yes, we offer a range of adaptations to suit your individual needs, ensuring your smart car is tailored to your requirements for maximum comfort and accessibility.
