Driving your BYD in Winter

Why driving your BYD in Winter isn't as scary as you think

Some EVs, like the BYD models, are better equipped to handle colder weather conditions, such as snow and ice.

We’re listing some of BYD’s best features to help you see why driving a BYD in Winter is a lot easier than you probably think it is.

Best BYD features for the Winter months

1. Heat pumps and better range

BYD’s heat pumps increase energy efficiency by managing heating and cooling more effectively, extending the driving range and enhancing comfort in all weather conditions.

2. Heated seats and heated steering wheel

All BYD models come with heated seats as standard. The BYD SEAL and SEAL U DM-i go even further with a heated steering wheel.

3. Electric defrosting and electric heated defroster rear windshield

No need to spend 15 minutes in the morning scraping ice off your windshield, BYD offers electric defrosting to help melt ice.

4. Remote climate control

Through the BYD app, you can remotely preheat your car by adjusting the cabin temperature, or even turn your heated seats on before you get in the car for a toastier start to the day.

5. Button to unlock car

You may use your BYD app or NFC card to unlock your car most of the time, but there’s also a physical button, located on the driver’s wing mirror or on the actual handles, which can give you peace of mind in those icier conditions if the hidden door handles aren’t appearing.
