2024 has been another eventful and fulfilling year for City West Country, with our numerous brands growing and extending. Here’s a round-up of our milestones and highlights.
BYD South West
Highlights for BYD South West include new showrooms, brand partnerships, and innovative new models.
We opened three new showroom in Plymouth, Truro, and Taunton following the success of BYD Exeter. A new model joined the line-up, this time in the form of a plug-in hybrid: the BYD SEAL U DM-I. Our calendar was packed with events, from our Dream Weekends to sponsoring Boardmasters, allowing us to connect with our audience and local communities. We were delighted to sponsor Lexi Chambers on her End 2 End Rugby Relay Challenge, supporting her journey from John O’Groats to Lands Ends, and we were excited to welcome England rugby player Immanuel Feyi-Waboso to our team of ambassadors, alongside England football player Ollie Watkins, and Plymouth photographer Shaun Rennie.
Mercedes-Benz South West
From launching our showroom facelift at Mercedes-Benz of Exeter to hosting our site-wide AMG Weekend event where we partnered with local businesses, it’s been another busy year for Mercedes-Benz South West.
We were delighted to host the Devon Women in Business in July, as well as welcome the Mercedes-Benz Club to our Exeter showroom in November. We were also excited to have a number of new models this year, more recently including the Mercedes-Benz G 580 with EQ technology. In terms of events, we held our Platinum Star Events in our showrooms, attended the inaugural Fleet Procure Live! event, and showcased our models at the Cornwall Business Show. Finally, we became the sole suppliers of new Mercedes-Benz Vans in the South West after acquiring the Mercedes-Benz Van Centre.
Tangelo Used Cars
Following an extensive refurbishment at Oaklands Garage, our Exeter Customer Hub reopened bigger and better than before. Following a successful year, Tangelo Used Cars opened a new location in Plymouth. On top of this, we were involved in many local partnerships this year, including sponsoring the Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club’s Charity Casino Night and a Buckland Athletic football match. From competitions and giveaways to charity donations and initiatives, Tangelo Used Cars has continued to flourish.
smart South West
As well as receiving a showroom facelift in Exeter at the start of the year, smart also welcomed the newest model in their all-electric line-up: the smart #3. Sporty, stylish, and all about action, the smart #3 has been a popular model this year with its practicality, style, and convenience.
