This month’s Meet the Team instalment takes us to Plymouth, to introduce you to our newly appointed Local Business Development Manager for Light Commercial Vehicles, Matt Bennett. Matt has worked in the motor industry in Marsh Barton, Exeter, for the last twelve years and joined the team here at City West Country Vans just a few months ago. Here’s a little bit about him.
What’s your role at City West Country Vans and what does a typical day look like for you?
LCV Local Business Development Manager (LBDM). My typical day involves buying and selling of vehicles, pestering our Sales Manger, Jay, to death and gaining more new opportunities for us by interacting with local businesses.
How long have you been with the company and what attracted you to working here?
I’m now into my second month with City West Country Vans. I joined the company as an opportunity arose to move to a company with multiple premium brands with great new opportunities.
What's your favourite thing about working at City West Country Vans (so far)?
Not many of the vehicles break down, which makes a change!
If you could switch roles with anyone else in the company for a day, who would it be and why?

Which Mercedes-Benz or MAXUS model would you be and why?
A Mercedes-Benz Vito with a V8 bi-Turbo engine. AMG van anyone?
What do you like to do when you're not at work?
Spending time with my daughter going for walks with our British Bulldog, Nala, and going crab-fishing.
What’s a fun fact your colleagues might not know about you?
My eyes change colour in the sunshine – they could be dark brown one-minute and green the next…
Have you got a hidden talent?
I can do lots of different accents and can speak three different languages. My favourite accent to do is Irish.
