City West Country are excited to announce the appointment of Gavin Walker as the company’s Finance Director.
To get to know Gavin, we asked him some quick-fire questions, including his favourite animal, chosen radio station, and the first concert he ever attended.
Where are you from?
Cardiff.
How long have you worked at City West Country?
A month this time round, but previously almost 15 years.
What is your favourite Mercedes-Benz model? (Old or new!)
G-Wagon or a Mercedes-AMG SL.
Most memorable day at work?
There isn’t one stand out day but lots of good ones for lots of different reasons. Ultimately it boils down to working and collaborating with like-minded people.
Favourite part of the job?
The variety of the environment and the role.
What's your favourite animal?
Dog.
Where is your favourite place to visit in the South West?
Very difficult question to answer due to all the options, but probably the North Coast of Devon.
What’s your go-to song or radio station to listen to in the car?
In the morning Radio 4, thereafter a real mixture from 70s/80s nostalgia to Classic FM.
How many attempts did it take you to pass your driving test?
One.
What's your favourite film?
Raging Bull, an all-time classic.
What’s at the top of your bucket list?
I genuinely haven’t got a bucket list as I don’t view my life in that way, but I’d like to spend some more time travelling in the US or the more remote areas of Spain.
What would be your karaoke song?
I decided a long time ago to never sing in public and see no reason to change that decision.
Tipple of choice?
Depends on the occasion, but a chilled white wine or beer in the sun is hard to beat.
First concert you ever went to?
The Scorpions in Glasgow in the early 1980s!
What are you most looking forward to?
Ending this questionnaire! In all seriousness, my daughter getting married next year.
