We are very excited to mark the new appointment of our After Sales Director, Christian Constantine, with this Meet the Team special. After 14 years with us here at City West Country, Christian is very excited to take the next monumental step in his career.
Christian, as our newly appointed After Sales Director, what does 2026 have in store for you?
Slightly different to what it was a few months ago! It’s been a busy time with year-end closure, budgeting for 2026, our brands wanting to have intro meetings and trying to spend as much time as possible learning the role and meeting the team.
How long have you been with the company, and what elements of your General Manager experience will you be bringing to your new role?
February 2026 will be 14 years with the group, having started as a Trainee Sales Consultant. Experience wise, all of it to be honest. You can never stop learning or improving. I like to think I have always tried to develop and help the teams around me grow – The business does not work without the team.
What’s your favourite thing about working at City West Country?
The people for sure
What's one project or achievement you're particularly proud of? (other than your recent promotion, of course)
The most recent would be less of a project or achievement, but the sendoff and gifts I received from the team was very unexpected and humbling – One of the very few times I have been lost for words and speechless – as the Plymouth team will be able to confirm!
If you could switch roles with anyone else in the company for a day, who would it be and why?
One of our technicians, as I would not have a clue what I am doing, but it would be good to see how they do what they do. They are far more technically skilled than me – who knows maybe someone will volunteer in 2026…
What’s your go-to song when driving?
I’m a talksport listener so not a lot of music in the car I’m afraid!
What’s your guilty pleasure film or TV show?
Gavin and Stacey – Never gets old!
What do you like to do when you're not at work?
Spend time with my family. I am slightly outnumbered at home with my wife and 3 daughters, although we do have George (Black Lab) who tries to even it out a bit! I am a golfer too so try to get out on the course when time allows.
What’s a fun fact your colleagues might not know about you?
I was a Ski teacher in Switzerland for 6 years before I joined CWC – A lot of fun!
If you could have dinner with any three people (dead or alive), who would you choose?
I lost my mum in 2018, so I would swap my spot with her and let her have the table with her three granddaughters – I know she would have loved seeing them wrap me round their little fingers!
Where would your dream holiday destination be?
The Maldives
