We are delighted to welcome Tim Bryant to City West Country as our new Head of Group Training.
Tim joins us with an extensive track record in training, development, and customer experience, and will play a key role in shaping and delivering our group-wide approach to learning and capability building. His focus will be on creating a consistent, high-quality training and coaching framework that supports our people to develop, perform, and grow across all areas of the business.
City West Country created the role of Head of Group Training to provide our colleagues with undivided dedication to growth and progress. As an organisation, we have always been very committed to encouraging personal and professional growth for each employee. We have partnered consistently with Best Companies to carry out the biannual Be Heard survey, which exists to identify areas of opportunity for employee growth and satisfaction within our teams. City West Country also run a dedicated Aspiring Managers programme to provide training and coaching for individuals who are ready to take the next step in their career. The appointment of Tim as our Head of Group Training will be invaluable to both our colleagues and our businesses.
Richard Syree, Head of Human Resources, said: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome Tim to City West Country. His role has been some time in the planning and it fantastic to finally announce his appointment. Culturally Tim is very aligned to our business, and I am very much looking forward to working with him. Our investment in this new Head of Group Training role really reflects our continued commitment to investing in the development of our people and building capability right across the business.”
Tim’s professional experience reflects his commitment to progression and confidence, working as European Training Manager at manufacturer and OEM levels including Tesla, BYD and most recently General Motors. Fittingly for City West Country, Tim was the very first BYD Passenger Car employee in the UK when he joined the brand in 2021. This has already given him the opportunity to share expertise and knowledge from the manufacturer with our BYD South West colleagues to deliver exceptional levels of service. With Tim’s expertise, we are excited to echo this type of training and coaching support across all of our City West Country brands, developing learning opportunities for colleagues across all departments.
Tim said: “I’m incredibly proud to be part of the City West Country group. While the organisation isn’t entirely new to me, having crossed paths in previous roles, it has always stood out as a truly unique business – not only for its growing brand portfolio, but for its continued commitment to its people and the communities it serves. I’m really looking forward to getting to know everyone across the group and supporting colleagues at every stage of their journey. My aim is to help build confidence, inspire pride, and empower each individual to be the very best they can be.”
